STUDIO ASSISTANT / Austin, TX

Part time, 8-15 hours a week. Can be on a regular or as-needed/seasonal basis. Super flexible schedule - pick your own hours (between 9a - 6p.)

There’s a LOT that goes on behind the scenes of a small business, and we are looking for someone who can be flexible in helping out with various tasks! Our production partner does the sewing and much of the fabric cutting, but we need help with post-production duties and general studio projects. Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Errands to/from our production and retail partners (in the Austin area)
  • Finishing and attaching handles to bags
  • Making and attaching hangtags
  • Order fulfillment (packing and shipping, errands to the post office)
  • Inventory updates (using Google sheets)
  • Cutting fabric for production prep
  • Helping sales manager with research and marketing
  • Social media posting
  • Assisting with pop-up shops and fairs

Candidates must be detail oriented, hardworking, able to work independently, and ready to learn new things! You will be working in a variety of environments - our studio space we share with our production partner, our home base (literally a house at the moment!) and retailers around town. You must love dogs (and preferably not allergic to cats!) Pay is $12/hr, negotiable based on experience.
